As you may have gathered, Godspell '08 is officially over. It has definitely been an interesting summer. 16 people, 44 shows, 8 states, over 6.000 miles driven, over 2,000 people performed for (probably), 3 vehicles (in the end), easily 1000's of dollars spent on gas, many amazing host families, and some awesome church dinners. Added all up, it makes for one crazy, but awesome summer.
I just want to thank all our awesome host families throughout the summer. I stayed in some awesome houses, and met a lot of amazing people. It's definitely one of the things that made the summer special for me.
I would also like to thank Pual Hirschy and Troy Irick (and the entire Advancement office) for all their hard work and for coming to a lot of our shows. It was great to see a familiar face at venues that were far from home. Thanks also to Susan Stong in Maintenance for all the work getting our truck and generator and everything else that the Maintenance dept. did.
Thanks to all the people who came to our shows. Without you, we wouldn't have much.
And lastly, thanks to the cast, band. and Andrew and Dawes for an awesome summer. We definitely had our ups and downs throughout the summer, but I definitely felt like we had a real community. We had something special. (But I'm glad for the week away from you all. LOL)
Special thanks to Matthias the focus man, Bethany the scroller queen, and Phil the Socapex tamer, for being the most awesome lighting crew a crew chief could ask for. You guys did your jobs, you did them fast, and you didn't complain about it. For that, I thank you.
I really have nothing more to say. And when you have nothing to say, it's best to say nothing.
So long and thanks for all the fish,
Nathan "Cap" Capriglione

The End(?)
It hit me today. The tour is really over. I mean, I realized it last night. I knew that there were no more shows after last night's show. I even had flashbacks during Turn Back to when we first started practicing (it being the first song we learned choreography to and all), but today when I was home eating lunch with my family, I felt a little odd. Of all the people I had gotten used to seeing day in and day out during the tour, not one of them was there. It was just weird. I'll see most of them in a couple of weeks or less, but it won't be in the same setting. I'll be in the radio studio doing what I do, watching them through the window there doing what they do (which is running up and down that hallway like mad people all hours of the day and night). The only people I won't really see anymore are Kristen and Josh, who I wish the best of luck to in everything. I'll miss you guys.
The tour had its ups and downs, but it was amazing. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it is over. Theatre is a hobby for me, not a passion. I'm glad to get back to what I am passionate about, but I'll miss everyone I spent the summer with. It was a second family to me.
So Godspell ends for the third (and final?) time. I am glad I was able to take part in it.
Thanks to everyone who let me stay in there homes, to everyone who prepared meals for all of us, and to (In no special order) Matthias (I'm glad I made a Joss fan of you), Phil(even though you always tried to take inches from me in our seat :-)), Alicia (Good seed... GOOD SEED!!!), Nate (You are never going to watch that last episode are you? Your still a good guy.), Bethany (Remember when you were basically one of the guys? Good times), Andrew (I'm glad I got to serenade you before every show), Patrick H. (We both love EWJ. Nuff said), Lindsay (sooooo weird:-)), Pat I. (Might as... well ;-)), Kristen (Thank you so much for introducing me to the no voice), Peter (Your face when playing Betrayal at House on the Hill was priceless... EVERY TIME), Rebekah (Is it even possible for you to be negative? I doubt it), Reuter (Watch out for veloci-reuter), Ted (next time you climb to the summit of knowledge or drink from the well of the moon, take me along), and Josh (Someday you might be as good as me in Mario Kart. Maybe).
Thanks for the great summer everyone.
God Bless,
Eric

Hindsight
There are so many things I want to say. I just don't know how.
So, tonight we did our last show together. It's a strange feeling...having done this before, I recognize it, but cannot really place it. It's bittersweet. I'm relieved that I'll have some time to relax, but sad that our season has ended.
I am usually reflective after chapters of my life are done.
It occurs to me that we often, as a group, talked about things that frustrated us on tour. Sometimes, being with the same 15 people all summer breeds negativity. In reflecting on this, I wonder, did we lose our focus?
Despite performing a show based on scripture, it still "gets old" after a while. Despite our finest efforts to keep the show alive within our group, it's hard to keep the same energy all the time every night, every day...day in...day out.
Now, I can safely say that I have officially performed "Godspell" at least 86 times. Wow...
I know that this is rambling, but it's going somewhere, promise.
Anyway, all of this is to say that we've had our hard moments on this tour. It's inevitable...expected. But despite all of these moments...I know that our tour was a success. If anyone was ever touched by the message, laughed at a joke, or cringed at Matthias being crucified...we were used for something good. I hope that we each learned something important about ourselves and one-another.
This show is more than a silly play off the Gospel of Matthew. We've been saying that all summer...but do we really get it?
I hope that we always remember that Godspell is a place where community is formed...not of obligation, but desire...of excitement.
Godspell is a place where the line between audience and actor is blurred a little.
Godspell is a place where you choose to love, even though it is easier to hate.
Godspell is a place where you serve because a Great God served you first.
Godspell is a place where you smile genuinely and laugh often.
Godspell is a place where you can learn willingly.
And most of all, Godspell is a place where even the worst of sinners can find hope and forgiveness.
To Godspell 2008, thank you for the memories. I will cherish our bond. You mean a whole lot to me. I know that in 24 hours, I'll be going through withdrawal from not seeing you. You may not have known it, but each and every one of you gave me energy and life to make it through the last few months. Know that each of you is very special, talented, and capable of making BIG changes wherever you go.
I love you so very much.
And I love, love, love your work.
Godspeed,
Patrick

I was helping Lindsay carry some boxes to her car tonight and on the way back into my apartment I ran into Pat Harding. I gave him a big bear hug (because he won't accept any less) and I found myself wanting to cry. I quickly pushed back the tears by reminding myself that I would see him in less than two weeks. In fact, I'll see almost everyone in less than two weeks... so why the tears?
Because I know that sometime within the next few days I'm not going to wake up and see everyone looking like zombies. I'm not going to ride in a crowded bus to some random church. I'm not going to hear to Lindsay's laugh or Kristen's voices. I'm not going to bicker with Phil about setting up or bug Matthias while he is trying to work. I'm not going to listen to "Texas Ranger John McBride" or whatever that song was called and get to see Teddy do a crazy dance. I'm not going to explore a church with Eric hoping to find a TV with a DVD player (and maybe comfortable sofas) so we can watch Buffy during our down time...
There are too many memories to put into this blog...
But I will always remember the family we created, the friendships we gained, the inside jokes we stumbled upon, the hours of Mario Cart, and the stupid GPS system...
I love you all.

Hitchhikers and Extraterrestrials
So this past Thursday, our bus broke down on the way to Logansport and this guy offered to help. I think his name was Angel Clare (no correlation to Thomas Hardy's fictional character). He said something was wrong with our hibbledy-bop or whatever (I know nothing of buses) and opened the hood up. Now, I'm not sure what he did, but I think he installed some sort of rocket engine on the bus, because the next thing I knew we were in a galaxy far far away. This wasn't good, for you see, we had a show to do that day, and time was of the essence since our bus had broken down as it often does. (I'm still not sure how we made it the first leg of the tour with no engine). I can't remember the name of the planet on which we landed, but we met these strange creatures with 15 mouths. It's not that I didn't like them, they were very hospitable, there was a kindly one who had us over for tea and we played bridge for awhile but we couldn't stay. The entire town of Logansport was waiting for us. So I decided That I was getting extremely bored with this preposterous story, so long story short, we were teleported there and our bus was magically fixed.
P.S. The tea was good.
This story is dedicated to the awesomely awesomest person on earth, Kylie Edmonds. She's actually so awesome, I'm not even sure she's human.
But on the serious side of things:
We have five shows left. I'll miss it. A lot. It's been a good second year.
Some things I'll remember off the top of my head (I'm not ususally one for lists, but oh well):
Awkward Spinal Tap references
brick walls
Phil's southern accent
Fubby the Fampire Fayer
Alternate lyrics to "the fox"
Making Patrick's eyes bulge when I was dressed as "Fyoon"
There's a ton more, but I really don't feel like typing a whole lot more, making up ridiculous stories wears me out.
Love
Theodoros
P.S. Notice that there's no comma after "love". That's because it's a command. LOVE ME!
I crack myself up.

New Experiences
Tour is a time for new things. Traveling new places, meeting new people, and, although you do the same show over and over again, sometimes doing new things. In my case, the new thing was fishing. A couple days ago, when we were in Lindenhurst, Josh, Phil, and I stayed with the James family. The next morning, the three of us and Mr. James got up at about 6:00 and went out into the lake on paddle boats. We cast for about 45 minutes with not much result. When we went to paddle our way back to shore, I felt a tug on my line. I was so excited! I thought I had hooked my first fish! I thought wrong. All I had hooked was our own boat. The line was tangled around the paddle and when we went back to shore it started to pull my line. My brief moment of excitement ended in disappointment. Oh well. It was still a good time and a new experience for me.
Two New Videos and more to come

Say, do you remember?
Good afternoon, true believers! I'm so sorry for not blogging more recently. I don't think I'm the only slacker on tour, though. There's at least 15 others.
So, today we have the day off and in approximately 30 minutes from the moment I started this blog, we will be going out to dinner with the Dowden's. I love dinner. We're probably going to have to tell stories, and I don't know that I can pick out one particular story to tell anyone about yet. Hopefully one will come shortly.
Since my last blog, we've done more shows. Nothing is really sticking out at right now. I feel like everything is kind of running together at this point.
Although, we did hear some awesome jokes and see a cool Russian Tortise in Flint, MI.
And I have broken 2 bass strings. That may not sound like a lot, but before this summer, I'd never broken one before. Chambersburg and Lima, I'm sorry you had to see that.
AND WE SAW "THE DARK KNIGHT" IN IMAX! If you have not seen this movie, do yourself a favor and go watch it. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen...even outside of the comic-book genre. It was a beautiful film. The acting was superb, the cinematography was gorgeous, and the story was enthralling. GO SEE IT. NOW!
We saw Momma Owen's at Peter's school, too. And Daddy Owen's. And Brother Owen's. They're nifty.
Well, we have 13 shows left. I hope you'll come to one. If you can't, lie to me and say you will.
Love you, love your work.

PHILBLACKATTACK BLOG II
Hey Folks,
How's it going? Today is Godspell III's FIRST day off in 8 days - that's 8 days of set up, do show, tear down, travel, repeat - and although I love theater as much as the next guy, it's deliciously good to have a break. This last leg was a five-show stab into the heart of Michigan, followed by one show in Ohio and then one at Epworth Camp here in beautiful, rustic Indiana. And, I must say, it was a blast.
Apparently, Michigan shows developed something of a dark reputation last year during Gospell II. Their first show featured a load in up a 10+ stair staircase and was topped off with Jesus, played by Matthias Austin, severely spraining his ankle. Again, remember this was their FIRST SHOW. However, I am pleased to report that our streak of cursed Michigan shows has at last been broken, replaced by a streak of five shows which easily found places alongside our best ever. The last week has flown by, and I sit here today, a'swirl in a flurry of half-remembered stages, sanctuaries, faces, and handshakes.
One memory, however, will forever be burned into my memory. One of our Michigan shows was held in a church that was situated directly beside a large cornfield. As those of you who have seen the show are aware, after Jesus' death on the cross, he is carried out by the disciples. Then, in a bit of rough, theatrical magic, "Jesus" runs around to the front of the sanctuary out of view of the audience where he then pops out for the resurrection. This particular sanctuary, however, featured impressively large windows on either side of the sanctuary, meaning that if our Jesus ran around to the front by going outside, as he often does, he would effectively be SEEN running, thus shattering the moment entirely. So, as we disciples exited the back of the sanctuary this particular night, we were treated to the unorthodox site of Jesus booking it into a cornfield. Matthias ran through the corn to avoid detection. It was pretty hard not to laugh, but we had to contain ourselves, still singing into our mikes, as we were, the refrain "Prepare Ye".
Again, THANKS SO MUCH to our ludicrously hospitable host families. You guys are all amazing! Never has my belief in the goodness of humankind (in Christ, mind) been so strengthened. And thanks to all our theater goers. We appreciate you all, and hope our shows bring just a little joy!
Have a grand day!

Up in the Balcony
As I type, I am set up in the balcony of Element Church in Adrian, MI. I have really no idea where Adrian, MI is, except that it's about 2 1/2 hours from Ashley, MI. At any rate, this is the second show that I am above floor level for a show, which is kind of a fun change for me.
A couple updates from some of the previous postings: We have added a new vehicle to our tour. We now have a Ford F-250 to tow the generator, since the bus was never really meant to haul that kind of load, and we kind of killed the first one. (We are now using a different bus, while the first one gets repairs.) Thanks to Mike Raleigh (owner of Mike's Tree Service) for the use of his truck for our Zanesville and Markle show while we figured out what we were going to do. We now have a real convoy, complete with walkie-talkies and call-signs (so far we have Tinkerbell, Artic Fox, and Mother Goose).
We have some sickness in the cast, which could use some prayer. It's been a great time in Michigan, so far. Now, it's time for dinner. It promises to be good! (Like all the dinners I've had this summer.)
Signing off for now,
Cap

Speechless...
Well....I am sitting in my apartment thinking on how fast and yet slow this summer seems to be going all at once....and it seems to leave me speechless....well actually literally....
I am in the midst of fighting a chest cold that within the last day has gotten much worse...to the point where I woke up this morning and literally had no voice.....yesterday when this first started happening my first immediate reaction was to panic a little....I have never lost my voice EVER and of course thoughts went through my head like....what if something is seriously going wrong....what if I can't sing again ever....you know all those what ifs that go through the head....But then during the show.....I was reminded that a little vocal problem is nothing compared to the trials that Jesus had to go through.....and I was reminded of the God that I serve....do I trust Him enough to let Him have control over this?.....So right now I am learning to be confident in being speechless and trusting that God has the timing of my voice coming back all in control.....
I guess ultimately that is the biggest thing I am learning from this summer....anything....no matter how hard that I go through is nothing in comparison to what Jesus went through.....I am also constantly being reminded that everyone, me, you, my parents, friends, and even the disciples are sinful mortals who daily have to learn to walk with Jesus a little bit more....and yet often times we think we understand when we don't.......sometimes I am learning the more I talk....the less I really know and am just trying to appear in control.....so I guess being speechless right now is good for me....I am trying to control my tongue more....for where words are many sin is not absent.....
On a lighter note....I am LOVING this summer as a whole....the people are so great...each and every one of them means so much to me and it's funny how much you can learn from others...Thanks guys...you all rock....

I am lazy.
We have had four days off in the last six and the two shows we did have were each less than half an hour away. I have become lazy. During my days off I have worked as hard as possible to not work, and let me tell you, it is exhausting. I have gotten so used to waking up early to get on the bus that I have been consistently waking up around 7:30. It's been hard for me to get back to sleep at that point, but I have managed (like I said, it takes real work).
I have seen a few movies over the break period, and I will give you my brief opinion on them because I know how much my opinion means to everyone out there [insert sarcasm here].
Be Kind, Rewind: 2 stars out of 4
Had a lot of potential, but was just ok.
Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs: 2 1/2 stars out of 4
After Bender's Big Score, this movie was very disappointing. Not even one musical number.
There Will Be Blood: 1 1/2 stars out of 4
I wanted to like this movie, because it is a very good film... technically. I didn't really like ANY of the characters at any point and I didn't feel a solid message coming from the film.
Wall-E: 3 stars out of 4
Pixar just knows how to make movies. Their best? No. Still very good? Yes. I LOVE ROBOTS!
Starting tomorrow, we are once again on the road. Prayers, as always, are appreciated. Thankfully it is only eight days and not three weeks. As much as I love everyone on tour, I am not a fan of spending all my afternoons stuck in a small bus.
Thanks to everyone who has seen us and I look forward to seeing everyone planning on catching one of our shows.
God bless,
Eric
I have seen a few movies over the break period, and I will give you my brief opinion on them because I know how much my opinion means to everyone out there [insert sarcasm here].
Be Kind, Rewind: 2 stars out of 4
Had a lot of potential, but was just ok.
Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs: 2 1/2 stars out of 4

"I am the ghost of grattitude!"
Hello there, true believers! I sure diddly do hope that this blog finds you all doing splendiforously!
Today we have a day off in Huntington, which is groovy. With the first leg of our journey behind us, we are staying close to the Huntington area. Our last two shows were less than 30 minutes away, which is nice, all things considered. Thanks to everyone who came to our Zanesville and Markle shows...you are all appreciated :)
Over break (July 2nd-4th), I got to see a lot of friends I don't get to see very often. It was really good. I also got to see "Wall-E." Something about Pixar movies makes me harshly depressed for about an hour or so. But it was really good.
I also got to watch Ted play "Shadow of the Colossus" for about 4 hours total. He's really into it.
I also got to start a game of "Super Paper Mario." I like it.
And for all of you that were wondering, my EWJ action figure came safely in the mail today.
I know, I was worried, too.
I'm still sick, after a month of touring about the countryside. I had to go to Redi-Med today for more stuff. How dumb! Dumb health! Dumb, dumb, dumb! I guess irregular sleep and erratic eating habits aren't good for it either. Hopefully my new, more powerful, and ridiculously expensive medicine will make me fighting fit.
Ted came accross a marvel discovery yesterday. All rap artists say their name in their songs...maybe multiple times. But it's like stating their names is a requirement. Pokemon, by nature, say their names all the time, too. It's like stating their names is a requirement.
Coincidence? Highly unlikely.
We also found out that we're going to have some transportation issues. Our old bus was about 10 miles from death, so I think it's going to have to get fixed.
Or we're going to have to get a new one.
Or we're going to have to discover a new mode of transportation. One that runs off of dreams and starlight.
Tonight the Irick's are going to have us over for food, swimming, and lawn-darts. We like them!
To all of you on tour with me: I love you tremendously. I'm privileged to be with you all.
To all of you who see our shows or support us through prayer: Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope our ministry has touched you in some way.
Remember, all hats are placebos.
Love you, love your work.
P.S. Go watch this video. I love Astor.

The many faces of Ted, plus some extras...
First of all I would like to apologize to my parents, to whom I told that this post would be up some time ago (No hay internet at the hotel pasado). Either way, I would like to take a moment to introduce to everyone the many faces of our beloved Ted Stavrou.
Name: Mild Mannered Ted
Description: He can play the guitar better than your dad and your mom and possibly Jimi Hendrix with four arms. Always good for a hug, and that trick he does with his eyeballs and the slide-whistle is PRICELESS.
Quote: "I love you."
Name: Tandy
Description: Whenever something awkward or ridiculous happens, this anti-hero comes out of the woodwork. Always able to make anyone slightly uncomfortable in whatever situation they are in, Tandy has been known to cause rooms to go unnaturally silent before erupting into uncontrollable laughter.
Quote: "I'm not awkward; I'm Tandy!"
Name: Stevie Plunder
Description: A double-eye-patched pirate musician with a knack for playing the piano and forcing ye to walk to the plank. Isn't he lovely? Isn't he wonderful?
Quote: "I don't be seeing the humor in that. I don't be seeing much nowadays, much less the humor."
Name: Fayun
Description: (See the picture a few posts below) A mumu-wearing, bread-weilding sage of the theater world, Fayun is armed with the knowledge of ten thousand sages and the ability to make Pat Harding laugh so hard that his eyevalls look like they are about to bulge out of his head.
Quote: "Welcome. I am Fayun. I have climbed the Summit of Knowledge, and drank from the Well of the Moon."
Well, hope you all enjoy the many moods of my good friend Ted, and I hope that if you were severely confused by this post that you pass right on by it without giving it a second thought. In other news, I really like the state of Virginia. I will be hom in a few days. Miss you Dad, Mom, Ethan, Sarah, Paul, Jason, and yet-to-be-named Niece/Nephew.
Watch out for sharks,
Petey

Hello friends!
It has been a while since my last blog. In fact, I haven't blogged since we have started touring. First, I would like to say thanks to anyone who has taken me into their homes over the past few weeks of touring. I have never been part of anything where I partake in home stays. I was a little skeptical at first, but everyone has been really nice so far. No horror stories... yet ;-).
I figured for this entry, I would post a few photos and give a little comment on them, because I am lazy and it seems like an easy way to blog.
I have a friend that I met up with in D.C. by the name of Jared. Here is the conversation that led up to this picture:
Jared: So are you hungry?
Me: A little, we just had lunch.
Jared: There is a place here (Union Station) that makes really big dough nuts.
Me: Show me.
I didn't believe that they were really that big, but when I saw it... I knew I had to eat it, because it was there.
Ted: Welcome. I am Fyoon. I have climbed the summit of knowledge and drank from the well of the moon.
This is what Ted said while dressed like this. The moment was already funny enough until Pat Harding saw this.
All it took was Ted saying the "Wel" of "Welcome" and Harding was gone. He collapsed onto the floor and his head turned a dark red as he laughed harder than I have ever seen him (or most people) laugh. I took this picture as he was trying to take a picture of Ted . Note that his head still is a dark red and that he is still in the middle of unstoppable laughter.
That is really about it for now. We have two shows in Ohio and then we are back in Huntington for less that 24 hours. I love traveling and meeting new people, but it will be nice to be home for a little bit.
I'll also try to keep blogging with a little more consistency from here on out, but we'll see if that pans out.
Peace,
Eric

Hot town, summer in the city
It has a been a good last few days for the Godspell gang. We had some really great shows with awesome audiences and some pretty good time together as well, just hanging out. I think my favorite part of the tour experience so far is the travel. It has been a long time since I have been out east, and it is absolutely gorgeous out here. Seeing the grandeur of the mountains of PA and VA was breathtaking. Even with no AC, the drive was great because of the view.
One of my favorite moments so far occurred a few days ago. After the show in Mt. Jackson, I went out to turn off the generator so we could begin load-out. As I went out the door, I saw the sun setting behind the mountains. It was absolutely gorgeous.
Yesterday, we spent a fun-filled day in the Capitol. I spent some time at the zoo, saw the White House for the first time (it looks bigger in the pictures), and had Thai food for the first time ever. It was so so so good! It was a great time! I'm looking forward to the show tomorrow and the challenges it is sure to bring.

Dream Life of Rand McNally...
Don't spend a lot of time trying to figure the cryptic message behind my title because it is simply the title of the song I am listening to right now. It's also a song that only Jawes and I would know, too. It is by Jason Mraz. Seriously, check it out.
So, I am at a hotel in St. Clairsville, OH right now sipping on some fairly old coffee in the lobby. It has been really nice to be with Rufe the last couple days. It's been a nice dose of nostalgia too because I really miss last summer. I love this summer as well, but there are just things from last summer that I miss.
It has been nice this summer, also, to get a new, refreshing way of doing things and a new cast that has different personalities and people. I have had a lot fun so far this summer. It has been awesome to get to know the people that didn't go last summer. There are some people this summer that I am getting close to really fast and it has been awesome. There have been some hilarious moments this summer so far. To name a few:
--the "mumble mumbles"
--Me: "That guy looks like Gary Coleman."
Kristen: "Did you say he looks like Andrew's colon?"
Me: "I very well might have"
--finding words that I can put Pete's name into. (i.e. Petastrophe, Petrocity, Petroleum)
--Me: "Kristen..."
Kristen: "STEALING!"
--fake dry heaving with Hoopsies like in Dumb and Dumber
--frequently reminding Andrew how much of a man he is.
P.S. I don't know if they are still checking for it, but I am making an official shoutout to Larry and Joan from Budd Lake.

Alas for me...hypocrite
You may be wondering as to the reason for this title. Well, I'm the guy who every show tells people that they should check our blog and read all the fun stories from the tour, and yet I have not actually blogged. Well, I am remedying that right now. This is my blog. And here are some funs stories.
I think maybe the the second or third show, Patrick Harding and I were talking about evil creatures; vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc. Well, we decided that we should make a team of the Godspell cast to fight off these beasts. (Sidebar: this conversation may or may not be influenced by the fact that Eric got me completely addicted to the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer) As a result of this, the following team has been assembled. The basic idea is that we can all turn into animals (like animorphs, but cooler because we're superstrong versions of all these animals, plus we retain our human minds and there's no limit to the length of time we can be in our "were-" forms. The list, as best as I can remember it, is as follows.
Matthias-Werewolf (lame I know, but I've always wanted to turn into a wolf, so I stuck with it anyway. Besides, that was I can sometimes act as a behind enemy lines thing)
Josh- Werelion
Phil- Weresiberian Tiger
Pete- Weremonky (I think)
Patrick Harding- Wererhino
Patrick Irick-Werelephant (between the two Pats, we have a pretty sturdy demolition crew)
Kristen- Werechipmunk (she does the spying and sneaking in)
Bethany- Weremongoose
Alicia- Werehyena
Eric- Cyborg (he runs the tech)
I forget the rest/don't know if we came up with them. Anyway, we're pretty awesome, so zombies...look out.
The shows have been going really well, thanks to everyone who has come.
Gettysburg and DC were both amazing. I've been to both places before and they continue to be phenomenal.
On the not happy happy joy joy side, our bus has no air conditioning. It's ok though, it'll be fixed soon.
I promise I won't wait another month to write another post.

From P.A. to V.A.
sorry i havent posted lately... forgot my login for this site.
Yeah so we finally made it out of P.A. This is good, finally get a change of scenery. Tonight will be our second show in Virginia ... as always it will be fun.
Today was nice we had around 2 hours of down time which gave me time to .... do nothing.. which was great! We are actually in the middle of mic check, yeah pretty boring.
So our Truck is dumb... the lift leaves something to be desired, and the truck itself is screwed up... today it displayed the check electical system light... and after a 50 min detour to the Penske service shop... and discovered the truck ... was completely fine... grrr... I would rather not do that ever again.

"Please allow me a moment to explain to you..."
Hello, online world! I am currently greeting you from Greencastle, PA. I'm back at the Wentz household. I've been sick for a few weeks, so it's probably about time to get that checked out. Mike and Yvonne, who are both wonderful, will be taking me to the Greencastle Family Practice. I sure do hope they can fix me up proper.
Things that have transpired since u been gone...
We have done shows in New Jersey, Baltimore, and more in PA. Today, the troupe is in Virginia. I will be joining them in a few hours. Most recently, we did a show for Otterbein, a larger church. It was oodles of fun, and we got to spend the day off with some members of church leadership in a park. Yay for the outdoors! We don't see the sun much.
In New Jersey, I got to meet Kristen's mom. She's an angel. I doubt very highly anyone, or anything, is as sweet as she is. Besides that, Patty and I played lots of Mario Kart at the Kohaut household. The show in New Jersey was oodles of fun, too. The crowd was great and I really felt like we all connected.
Baltimore traffic is scary sometimes. I would use the word "congestive." It was cool to meet some of the members of the community there.
Besides that, I spent 70 years trying to start a Paypal account so that I could finally purchase an Earthworm Jim action figure off of Ebay. I was scared that it wouldn't happen, but don't worry. The situation is remedied so that my sweet, impulsive, ultimately American purchase of my action figure went off without a hitch.
I love EWJ.
I also love Ted, Alicia, Lindsay, Nate, and Phil.
I love other people, too. But I will mention them in another blog on a later date.
OH! I got to share a bed with Andrew at a hotel stay. I felt like the belle of the ball, if you will :)
Well, I'll go now. I never plan out what I'm going to say in these blogs. My apologies.
Love you, love your work.

I am adding words of encouragement and praise for all the hard work and good presentations that I have had the privilege of seeing in the past week. I am proud of the positive attitude expressed even as we loaded in the downpour of rain! I look forward to the next time I can join you in July. I pray that God will bless each of you as you are a blessing to all who come to "Godspell"!

GO EAST COAST!
Hey Crazy Wide World!
Just thought I'd drop you a line on my day off. We're 6 some shows into our Whirlwind Tour of the Eastern Seaboard, and things a going great! Last night's show was amazing - our first full house. East Coasters ARE CRAZY AND I LOVE IT!!! Let's hear it for the original 13 colonies, ladies and gentlemen! They've still got it! 200+ years and still KICKING! Never has an audience clapped so hard - I feared for the structural integrity of their palms.
Three adventurous girls left today for a trip to New York City, but everyone else is just lazing around Kristin's house. Being lazy is amazing. I highly recommend it*.
Wanna shout out a huge thanks to anyone's who's ever hosted ANYONE on a Godspell tour. You guys are amazing! All my hosts have been wonderful ppl.! Hospitality is a scriptural virtue, but you guy's have pushed it to new heights! Go, Team!
Catch ya later!

*user discretion is advised. For best results, a sedentary life should be led in short bursts in conjunction with rigorous exercise and a balanced diet. Side effects may include eventual boredom, listlessness, apathy, and possible bedwetting (in the event you become too lazy to actually walk to the bathroom).

Which one of you is John the Baptist?
Afternoon, all. I felt like I should probably post in the blog. An intense feeling of responsibility coupled with the constant love-driven nagging of my sweet mother (love you, mom) has prompted me to open up my browser here and poor onto electronic paper some of the thoughts of my brain. Some of these thoughts are as follows.
Yesterday was fun at Gettysburg. A bunch of us went out onto the field where Pickett's Charge took place, and we walked most of it and then ran the last leg of it. For those of you who know me, you are well aware that running is my third least favorite thing, coming in behind only death by drowning and getting poked in the eye repeatedly. In the end, however, it went well and I didn't die, although I took about seventeen puffs on my inhaler (just kidding, mom; but I still have it, I promise).
Also, I have been really blessed to stay with some really awesome people. Dustin and Ashley, the Wentz family, the Greenlese family, Ethel and Ben, and anyone else I could have forgotten: if you read this, know that I and the rest of the cast are SO grateful for all the great things you have been doing for us. It is so wonderful to be able to go to a nice place and just feel completely at home away from home while on the road. Our hearts go out to you and yours.
That is all I have time to think now. Off to mic check!
But what if we don't have any sacks?
Peter
PS - I love Patrick Harding.

"Do you want to dance in a circle and pretend that we're cupcakes?"
So, one time, I said to Kristen, "I'm feeling needy." She responded with the above quote.
It made me piddygiggle.
I've been having a great time thus far on the tour. I've met a lot of great people (thanks, host families!), and I feel like the shows are going well. Despite those things, I wonder, what is God trying to teach me and the group?
Probably patience. Probably grace. Probably optimism. Probably perseverance.
Most of all? Probably love!
Was there ever any doubt?
He may also be trying to tell our group about Pokemon.
Or about "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
Or about load-outs in a terrential downpour (Franklin, PA).
Or about AWESOME SPAGHETTI DINNERS! (Also Franklin, PA)
Or about HUGE, AWESOME PIECES OF CAKE AFTER THE AWESOME SPAGHETTI DINNERS! (Yes, also Franklin, PA)
Or about living with heat in the bus.
Or about Gettysburg.
Or about being quiet before a show starts. (Mainly Pat Irick. You just laugh a lot, dude. It's okay, though. It might be partially my fault ;)
Or about growing a huge beard. (Matthias)
Or about being angelic. (Rebekah)
Hmmm...maybe.
Well, I'm tired, and probably not making sense. I hope to see you all soon. Peter Owens wants me to say that I'm in love with him. There you go, Pete. I feel like I should mention everyone in this blog, now that I've name dropped a lot. But I wanna spread it out. Like butter.
Love you, love your work.

On the road again...or kind of for the first time.
As this is my first post, I should probably start by introducing myself. My name is Nathan Capriglione and I am the lighting technician for the tour. It it my prestigious duty to push the GO button multiple times during the performance. :) All joking aside, so far I have been having an awesome time.
Tomorrow morning (technically in about 6 hours) we will be meeting to head out on the road. Our first away show was last Monday, it's true, but tomorrow we are out for the long haul. It will be a few weeks before we are back in our own beds. The cast and crew have been doing laundry and frantically deciding what to pack and what to leave, but, come 9:30, we are going to throw our bags on the bus and be on our way. I'm excited and I'm looking forward to the ride!
