The first leg of my journey is twisted

I had been trying to think of how my first blog entry would and I was thinking I could make a list as a tribute to how my sister, who was on tour last year, would blog. No, that wasn't in the stars this time. As I sit here typing my blog entry, I have the movie "Holes" playing in the background as my leg is propped up. That's right, my leg is propped up, not because it is the "cool" thing to do, but because during our first run-through of this years show, I rolled on my ankle. The run went really well for it only being the fifth day of boot-camp I might add. During the final song though I celebrated a little too hard, and landed on a fellow dancers foot in a way that I would not recommend to all of you out there.

Before boot-camp, I was a little apprehensive. Two weeks of 10+ hour practices sounded very grueling, but I figured I could make it out alive. It was actually today that I was thinking to myself during a practice, "You know what, I think I'll be just fine. This isn't too bad after all."

It was either that, or the fact that Andrew was taping when it happened that doomed my ankle to such torment. I'll get better though, because nothing is going to keep me from going on tour.

Hmmm... Maybe I shouldn't have typed that last line. :)

God bless,
Eric
