Well, here we are. "Boot Camp" and our week of previews have come to an end. The cast and crew that have put this show together have been working incredibly hard to prepare for this tour, but it has already been an extremely positive experience. If you readers are planning to see this show, I would encourage you to take the time after the performance to meet as many of the cast, band, and crew members as possible.
This has been a nostalgic show for me in many ways. This tour of "Godspell" marks my 3rd summer tour with Huntington University, as I performed as an actor in the "Cotton Patch Gospel" tour of 2003 and the original "Godspell" tour in 2006. This year I am not performing, but am traveling with the group as the Company Manager and Assistant Director. It has been quite a different experience to this point, as I now have the opportunity to see the show every day.
It's amazing to me, however, that while I have already been present at over 100 performances of "Godspell" (as a performer, director, or audience member)...this show never ceases to impact me. It's a wonderful story of JOY and LOVE. It's FUN, but always CHALLENGING. I love this show and I sincerely hope that you will all join us during the tour.
God bless.
